This Privacy Policy explains how Recon Scan (“the app”, “we”) handles your information.

Summary

Recon Scan does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. Everything you create stays on your device.

Information we collect

We do not collect, store on our servers, or transmit any personal information whatsoever. The app has:

• No user accounts or sign-in.
• No analytics, telemetry, or crash-reporting SDKs.
• No advertising identifiers.
• No third-party tracking.
• No network requests to our servers.

Data stored on your device

The app stores the following data locally on your device only, using the operating system’s standard app-storage facility (AsyncStorage, which is backed by UserDefaults on iOS and SharedPreferences on Android):

• Tabletop layouts you create (footprint placements, terrain features, deployment-zone choice, names).
• Scenarios you create (model placements, base sizes, names).

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export or share it through the app’s Share / Export buttons, in which case it goes only where you direct it (e.g. a messaging app you pick, a file you save).

Permissions the app requests

• iOS — Document Picker / Photo Library (save-only): used only when you tap Import or Share, to open a file or save an exported layout.
• Android — read/write external storage (capped to API 32): used only when you tap Import or Share, to read a picked file or write an exported layout to a location you choose.

We do not request location, contacts, camera, microphone, calendar, or any other sensitive permission.

Children’s privacy

The app is not directed at children under 13. Because we collect no data of any kind, no information from children (or anyone else) is gathered.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a future version of the app, the updated text will be available at the same URL, with an updated “Last updated” date.
